This week, Jakub Hrůša conducts Mahler’s Ninth Symphony. The broadcast opens with Shaw’s Boris Kerner, performed by Chicago Symphony Orchestra Principal Percussion Cynthia Yeh and Assistant Principal Cello Kenneth Olsen, and Hailstork’s Arabesques, also performed by Yeh with CSO Flute Emma Gerstein.
