About The Board
95.5 KHFM emerged as a public, listener-supported station in September 2017, after more than 60 years as a commercial classical music station. In accordance with the station’s new bylaws, the Community Advisory Board (CAB) was established in Spring of 2019 to advise the governing body of the station on whether its programming and other policies are meeting the specialized educational and cultural needs of the communities served by the station, and make recommendations as it considers appropriate to meet such needs. To that end, the CAB’s activities are organized into four focus areas: programming, community outreach, financial sustainability, and review of significant policy decisions.
CAB members are drawn from music and arts organizations in the listening area, as well as individuals in the community with special skills and relevant experience. For more information, contact cab@khfm.org.
