Join Us in the Fight Against Hunger
KHFM joins Sandia Area Federal Credit Union to fight hunger in our community. It’s the “Knock Hunger out of the Park” food drive supporting The Storehouse in Albuquerque, Food Depot in Santa Fe, and families in need.
By supporting the food drive at a Sandia Area location near you, you can pick up a pair of tickets to a local sporting event and be entered to win a trip for two to a 2026 regular season professional baseball game of your choice. It’s our way of saying thank you for helping Knock Hunger out of the Park.

Canned Goods: Canned meats (chicken, tuna, etc.), stews, soups, fruits, vegetables, and beans are always in demand, according to Storehouse New Mexico.
Peanut Butter: A high-protein staple that’s always appreciated.
Dry Goods: Oatmeal, cereals, and pasta (whole grain preferred) are good options, says Feeding America.
Other Pantry Staples: Rice, beans, and cooking oils are also needed.
Hygiene Products: Shampoo, conditioner, soap, toothpaste, and toothbrushes are important for maintaining personal hygiene.
Cleaning Supplies: Paper towels, disinfectant wipes, and similar items help with keeping the pantry clean and organized.
Baby Supplies: Diapers (sizes 5 and 6), pull-ups (sizes 3T, 4T, and 5T), baby wipes, and formula are crucial for families with young children.
What to Avoid:
Glass Containers:
The Storehouse has limited storage space and glass can break, so it’s best to avoid donating items in glass containers.
Perishable Items:
Due to storage limitations, it’s best to donate non-perishable items that have a long shelf life.
