Nani Vazana

Vocalist Nani Vazana defends the endangered Ladino language. Her fascinating migration mix seeps into her songwriting, fusing the sounds of the marketplace with Flamenco drama. Nani learned Ladino from her Moroccan grandmother in hiding, as her father forbade them to speak Ladino at home.

Le Chat Lunatique

As unpredictable, fearless, and entertaining as their namesake, Le Chat Lunatique purveys an addictive genre they call “filthy, mangy jazz”. Le jazz hot of Django Reinhardt and Stéphane Grappelli is their north star, but they use that beacon to navigate through a wide range of genres, blending Western swing, classical, reggae, and doo-wop into strikingly original compositions and audaciously reworked standards alike.

Learn to “read the stage,” and explore the final scene of Bizet’s Carmen, where Don José confronts Carmen for the last time. New Mexico Gay Men’s Chorus Presents:

The Unbreakable Harvey Milk

I Am Harvey Milk chronicles the life of the civil rights leader who became one of the first openly gay men to be elected to public office in California. Unbreakable presents a historical arc to the experiences of LGBTQ+ people over the last 12 decades, illuminated by stories drawn from real-life stories throughout LGBTQ+ history.
