Friends of the Public Library Presents:

The Ay! Clarumba Clarinet Quartet

An exciting quartet of three B-Flat clarinets and one bass clarinet. This eclectic group performs arrangements and original compositions of Cole Porter, jazz, ragtime, classical through twentieth century, and traditional Hispanic songs. 

On Friday, January 17th, 3pm at Taylor Ranch Library, 5700 Bogart St NW in Taylor Ranch. There is no charge for this event. Information at abqlibrary.org/concerts.


First Presbyterian Church of Santa Fe Presents:

TGIF Concert Series

The Flutissimo! Flute Choir is an accomplished orchestra from Dallas, Texas. The music includes Borwick, Hirose, and a specially arranged piece by Tucker

On Friday, January 17th, 5:30pm at First Presbyterian Church, 208 Grant Ave in Santa Fe. Doors to the sanctuary open at 5:15pm.

FPC Chancel Choir

The choir will be joined by six soloists performing works by Mozart

Fever Presents:

Vivaldi’s Four Seasons

The Listeso Quartet will play works from Vivaldi’s Four Seasons as well as Jules Massenet and Astor Piazzolla all by candlelight.

Music for Life Presents:

The African Children’s Choir

A celebration of its 40th anniversary marking four decades of transforming lives through the power of music, education and hope. The choir captivates audiences with their heartwarming performances of popular children’s tunes, traditional spiritual songs and vibrant African cultural pieces.

The New Mexico Women’s Chorus Presents:

Pearls of Change:  30 Years of Song!

New Mexico Women’s Chorus is celebrating its 30th anniversary year! They will be singing  songs throughout their herstory. They are also helping to support women in the community by collecting hygiene products for women to be donated to Crossroads. Contributions can be made at either of their performances.

The Zia Singers Presents:

University of New Mexico Arts-in-Medicine Program Presents:

Health Sciences Orchestra Chamber Music Concert

This performance is part of the UNM Arts-in-medicine program. The musicians of the orchestra all work in the medical field in some capacity but also make time to take part in the orchestra for their love of music. Featured works by composers Mozart and Haydn.

Lensic Performing Arts Center Presents:

American Spiritual Ensemble

The American Spiritual Ensemble is comprised of some of the finest singers in classical music, performing dynamic renditions of classic spirituals and Broadway numbers highlighting the Black experience. The ensemble includes soloists with the Metropolitan Opera, New York City Opera, & Houston Grand Opera. 

On Thursday, January 23rd, 7:30pm is a community sing open to all and on Friday, January 24th, 7:30pm is the ensemble’s performance at the Lensic Performing Arts Center.

The Metropolitan Opera Live in HD: Aida

The Lensic presents with the Santa Fe Opera, a new production of Verdi’s Aida brings audiences inside the towering pyramids and gilded tombs of ancient Egypt with intricate projections and dazzling animations.

New Mexico Tech Performing Arts Series Presents:

Presidential Chamber World Music Series III: “Between Heaven and Earth”

Nomad Ensemble

The featured works in this performance use tunes of plain origins, religious and popular, to reflect an intimate harmony between ‘art’ and ‘common’ experience. Compositions include ancient Welsh tunes, music by Charles Ives, Heitor Villa-Lobos, & Ottorino Respighi.

 Voices of Shekhinah: Four Illuminations

An original 45-minute opera by local composer, Valarie Morris. This benefit performance recognizes the UN’s International Holocaust Remembrance Day and proceeds go to support the New Mexico Holocaust & Intolerance Museum
